Blake Attorneys

Blake Attorneys was born on 1 October 1998 in a small office in Yeoville. For many years we were located on Oxford Road in Saxonwold and now we’re happily located in Greenside, Johannesburg.

We started out as personal injury litigators, which gave us a great deal of experience in court work. We no longer do any work in the field of personal injury. For the last 20 years we have represented small and medium businesses across the spectrum of industries. We litigate. That means we fight with people for money. Mostly we win.

Lesley Blake was a single mother and has been involved in Family Law since 1998. We have been  involved in the divorce courts, the maintenance courts and the domestic violence courts since that time. Children’s court is another forum where we appear often. Of course the High Court is sometimes the only place where your problem can be solved, but we try to resolve your family problems as quickly as possible and as inexpensively as possible. Remember when considering whether you need an attorney or you should “do it yourself” that, where you have a substantial estate, you get one chance to construct a financially viable future. It is usually worthwhile to have at least one consultation before making life changing decisions. The Children’s Act 38 of 2005 has changed the practice of family law completely and it may be dangerous to make assumptions about what a court would do in your case without proper legal advice. We are a member of the South Gauteng Family Law Forum  and take seriously our obligation to keep up-to-date with developments in the law.

We do not now and never have run a collections business. We have nothing to do with “Blakes and associates” whatsoever and point out that they are not attorneys at all.
